Founded in 2018 in Singapore, Born Poor Die Rich (BPDR) provides education and coaching for UK Golden Goose Property™ investments, with an aim to generate passive income so people can maximise their financial resources and spend time on things that truly matter.

Daniel Sim
Founder

Daniel is a Singaporean who specialises in property investing in the UK to create passive income. He spent more than ten years in public service, in both the Military and Prime Minister's Office. He's invested in stocks, bonds, forex and options, before realising that property truly gave him the security, peace of mind and time freedom he wanted.

He creates passive income streams by working with social enterprises to create homes for the homeless. He has been involved in property transactions worth millions of pounds. In one of his projects, he converted two blocks of offices into a 12-bed apartment. With a portfolio of over 50 units across 15 properties, Daniel generates a sizeable passive income every month.

Daniel enjoys reading and swimming (of course, that's when he's not ferrying one of his 3 kids around!). One of his treasured memories is when he spent 6 weeks in the USA, pre-covid. He visited lighthouses and apple farms and spent a lot of precious time with his family. One of his favourite quotes is: "Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you'll look back and realise they were the big things."

Kristine
Deal Progression Specialist

Kristine has eight years of working experience in Singapore and is currently based in the Philippines. She has worked mainly in the hospitality industry as well as in training and consulting. As a front-liner, she is well-rounded in managing clients and customer service. At BPDR, she guides investors through their Golden Goose Property purchases and engages them with our Power Team members in the UK. She finds great fulfilment in working closely with our investors by tracking every transaction development, ensuring they reach their goal of earning passive income.

Being a first-time mom, Kristine enjoys spending time with her toddler by doing Montessori activities and creating fun memories with her little family by travelling or going on a short staycation. Kristine finds much joy in serving others, especially by cooking a scrumptious feast and baking for friends and family. As a barista herself, she also loves experimenting with coffee. (We can’t wait for when she’s in town again to savour up her delicious cooking!)

Michelle
Head of Operations

Michelle joined BPDR as an Executive Assistant shortly after we were officially incorporated. She worked closely with our Founder, assisting him with managing his calendar. As the organisation grew, so did Michelle’s role. She is now the Head of Operations and an integral part of our team. She oversees our onboarding process for new clients and is someone the whole team turns to when we need assistance, especially with Excel formulas!

Michelle is extremely family-oriented, with her children being her utmost priority. As much as she values her alone time, it is something that is hard to come by. Michelle loves a game of puzzles with her kids. But, what she loves more is to joke around and annoy them!

Alexis
Deal Progression Specialist

Alexis graduated with a Social Work Degree and spent a good ten years of her life working in the social service sector. She has experience conducting workshops and camps for the youth and organising charity events to help the underprivileged. Her proudest achievement was being the organiser of a charity event that happened continuously for 21 hours.

Alexis now runs a family business with her husband and enjoys time flexibility as a self-employed. This allows her to dabble in various areas like emcee-ing, managing a floral business and learning the ropes of property investment.

Outside work, she enjoys a nap, a good cuppa coffee, an entertaining anime, time away from kids, and a good workout. Her heart has never left the social service sector, and she vows one day to return... how and when... only heaven knows (cue Rick Price).

Mel
Senior Marketing and Engagement Associate

With over eight years in digital marketing, Mel manages the marketing front of our social media platforms. She creates content and edits all our YouTube videos. She is also constantly thinking about new ways to engage our students, be it through newsletters or video content on our learning platform.

In her free time, Mel enjoys watching gore/thriller movies. Her favourite is the Saw franchise, which she says is well-written as every new one is linked to the previous. Can you guess when is her best-loved time of the year? Hint: It involves a lot of costumes and sometimes blood (fake, of course!).

Xiao Jun
HR and Finance

Xiao Jun is an Accredited Tax Practitioner (Income Tax) and Chartered Accountant of Singapore with over 10 years of experience in audit, accounting, tax compliance, and advisory sectors. At BPDR, she is in charge of accounting and human resources matters, ensuring that all funds and transactions are appropriately accounted for and payments are settled in a timely manner.

Outside work, Xiao Jun loves spending time with her family as much as she values her alone time. She is also a thrill-seeker and is always looking for a new adventure. One of her favourite pastimes is to try out highly-raved food joints. She's one person you can count on if you're unsure where to eat!
